Band Performance Ensemble

Description:
The Northmore Band and Recorder Ensemble is a club offered to our students in 4th - 5th Grades as part of our school's Arts Integrated status. The Band and Recorder Ensemble was formed in the 2022-2023 school year and will begin competing in local and state competitions this school year. Students in 4th and 5th Grade participate in Band during Fine Arts.  

Dance Ensemble 
Grades Served: Kindergarten - 5th Grades

Description:
The Northmore Dance Ensemble is a club offered to our students in all grade levels as part of our school's Arts Integrated status. The troupe was formed in the 2022-2023 school year and will begin competing in local and state competitions this school year. All students participate in Dance Performing Arts classes during Fine Arts.

Morning Announcements
Grades Served: 3rd - 5th Grades

Description:
The Northmore Morning Announcements Team learns the ins- and outs- of journalism. These students serve as news anchors, reporters, camera operators and/or sound operators 

Safety Patrols:
Grades Served: 5th Grade
Club Sponsors: Ms. Lexy Carter, 5th Grade Teacher and Mr. Jammy Sanon, Administrative Assistant

Description:
Students who demonstrate leadership qualities, are recommended to serve as safety patrols. They will have a duty post during arrival and/or dismissal, raise and lower the flags daily, and help ensure that students maintain safe practices throughout the day. Safety Patrols have the option of going to Washington D.C. every year as part of this program.

SECME:
Grades Served: 2nd – 5th Grades
Club Sponsors: Mrs. Michelle Kilic, Arts Integration Coordinator and Mrs. Kathryn Berman, Instructional Coach

Description:
SECME is a Science, Engineering, Communication, Mathematics and Enrichment club where students participate in a variety of challenges. These challenges require the students to think critically, as well as utilize STEM principles in order to be successful. Students in this club attend the District Competition and, if they qualify, the state competition.

Spelling Bee Club
Grades Served: All
Club Sponsors: Mrs. Jyl Mayall, ESE Coordinator

Description:
Students in the Spelling Bee Club practice the art of understanding language and words. Students are taught how to spell challenging words based on learning root words, affixes and word origins. Students participate in a School Spelling Bee and the winners attend the district Spelling Bee.

Yearbook
Grades Served: 4th - 5th Grades
Club Sponsor: Ms. Paula Andrews, ESE Teacher

Description:
The Yearbook club is comprised of students in 4th and 5th Grades that take photographs at school-wide events and work on creating the Yearbook for the school year. Students learn photography skills and photo editing skills while in this club.  

Young Singers and Musical Theatre Troupe

Club Sponsor: Mr. Will Rhymes, Musical Theatre Director

Description:
The Young Singers and Musical Theatre Troupe is a club offered to our 3rd - 5th Grade students as part of our school's Arts Integrated status. This award winning club has participated and won many awards in local and state competitions throughout the past several years. All students participate in Musical Theatre Performing Arts classes during Fine Arts.
