Attendance Policy

  • School Hours:  8:10 a.m. - 2:10 p.m.
    Free Breakfast:  7:40 a.m. - 8:10 a.m.

    After 8:10 a.m., you're late!

    Who Is Responsible?
School attendance is the direct responsibility of the parents/guardians and the students.
All students are expected to attend school regularly and to be on time for classes in order to help them grow as learners. If students miss a lot of instructional time, it may impede their academic growth.

    Student Tardies
After 8:10 a.m. parents are required to park their cars in the parking lot, walk to the main office and sign their child in.
Parents who do not sign their child in will be required to take their child home.

    Student Absences
It is state law that students must attend school every day. Parents of students who have excessive absences (10 or more a semester) will be required to meet with school administration and develop an attendance plan to ensure the child is in school.

Excused Absences Must Have a Note
    Excused absence notes include…

    • Student Illness → If a student is continually sick and repeatedly absent from school, he/she must be under the supervision of a physician in order to receive an excuse from attendance.
    • Medical Appointment for which the child’s presence is required.
    • Death in the family.
    • Observance of a religious holiday or service that is recognized as such by all members of the faith.
    • Subpoena by law enforcement agency or a mandatory court appearance.
