Mandatory Uniform Dress Code Policy

    Research and experience show that the way students dress has a direct influence on how they behave. Since the Melaleuca School Community expects only the BEST behavior from our students, the School Advisory Council reached consensus to initiate a mandatory Uniform Dress Cody Policy.

    Dress Code Violations - Violations will result in:

    • Parent contact
    • Student required to change to meet dress code.
    • Additional consequences will apply for habitual or major infractions.

    Shirts & Blouses

    • Polo style shirts or outerwear T-shirts.
    • Melaleuca school shirt (polo or t-shirt)
    • ALL shirts/blouses must be solid red, white or blue.
    • Shirts/blouses must be tucked into the pants/skirts.

    Pants & Shorts

    • Pants and shorts must be solid navy blue, black , or khaki. Students may wear navy blue or black denim.
    • No short-shorts or spandex
    • The length of shorts/skorts/ skirts/jumpers must be no more than 2-3 inches above the knee.
    • Pants must be worn at the natural waistline.

    Shoes

    • Shoes must be worn at all times.
    • Sneakers, loafers, or other closed toe shoes are required.
    • No open, unsafe footwear such as flip-flops, sandals, clogs, Crocs,platform shoes or soles over one-inch.
    • No heels with or without wheels.

    Items Not Allowed

    • Hats or Caps
    • Tank tops, halter tops, midriffs
    • T-shirts with inappropriate language or pictures
    • Clothes with large holes
    • Backless or cutoff clothing
    • Large, oversized earrings
