    Crestwood Middle School is committed to establishing a safe environment where the focus is on academics. It is the intent of the school program that students be dressed and groomed in an appropriate manner that will not interfere with or detract from, the educational process. We continue to be committed to the belief that ALL students can learn and succeed!

    Universal Student Identification Badges: Students are required to wear their IDs at all times while on campus. ID badges must be displayed above the waist, using a clip-on or lanyard.

    All Clothing Must Fit Properly and Not Be Excessively Baggy or Too Tight. Unreasonable Exposure of the Body is Strictly Prohibited.

    Tops

    A) Polo-Style Shirts - Solid Colored with Buttons

    • A “polo style” is defined as a shirt of cotton or cotton/poly blend with a soft collar and
      buttons.
      *COLORS: Yellow, Black, White, Green, Purple, and Blue
    • Half Sleeve Shirts and Long Sleeve Shirts Allowed.
    • NO Writing, Designs, Logos or Insignias Allowed.
    • NO Tying or Folding of Shirt Allowed. Plunging necklines are prohibited.

    B) T-Shirts: Only Crestwood T-Shirts (includes school logo) may be worn.

    • Students may purchase these items from the school store.
    • NO Tying or Folding of Shirt Allowed.

    C) Academy & Team Shirts: Academy & Team Shirts may be worn.

    • Students will be able to purchase academy & team shirts through their designated teachers.
    • Academy & Team Shirt Days will be designated by administration; students will be informed of these dates throughout the school year.
    • NO Tying or Folding of Shirt Allowed.

    D) Undershirts: A “crewneck” is defined as a rounded collar that reaches to the base of the neck of the wearer.

    • Solid Colored T-shirts (Crew Neck Only) may only be worn UNDERNEATH the student’s polo-style shirt.
      *COLORS: White, Yellow, Black, Green, Purple, and Blue.
    • Half Sleeve Shirts and Long Sleeve Shirts Allowed.
    • NO Writing, Designs, Logos or Insignias Allowed.
    • NO Tying or Folding of Shirt Allowed.
      **NOTE: Camisoles CANNOT be used as a means to unreasonably expose the body. Plunging necklines are prohibited.

    E) Dresses: *COLORS: Navy, Black, Khaki

    • All Dresses must come below where the longest finger touches the leg when standing erect with shoulders relaxed.
    • Dresses with Half Sleeves and Full Sleeves Allowed.
    • Slits must not reach above the top of the kneecap.

    F) Sweatshirts and Jackets: Only Solid Colored sweatshirts and jackets will be permitted.

    **NOTE:

    • An approved school shirt must be worn under all jackets or sweatshirts.
    • Sweatshirts and jackets CANNOT be used to cover up a dress code violation.
    • Hoodies are not permitted to be worn on the head.
    • A student’s face must be clearly visible at all times. Face masks, when worn, may only cover the nose, mouth and chin.

    Bottoms

    • Acceptable Bottoms: Docker-Style Pants, Shorts, Skirts, Skorts, and Capris
      *COLORS: Navy, Black, and Khaki
    • All Bottoms must fit properly and be worn at the natural waist.
    • NO Folding of Bottoms At Waistline Allowed.
    • NO Sweat Pants, Basketball Shorts, Warm-Up Pants, and Pants with Oversized Pockets Allowed.

    A) Pants: *COLORS: Navy, Black, and Khaki

    • Students are not allowed to tuck pant legs into shoes or socks.
    • Joggers are prohibited.
    • NO Folding of Pants at Waistline Allowed.

    B) Shorts, Skirts, Skorts, and Capris: *COLORS: Navy, Black, and Khaki

    • NO Folding of Shorts, Skirts, Skorts, and Capris at Waistline Allowed.
    • All Shorts, Skirts, Skorts, and Capris must come below where the longest finger touches the leg when standing erect with shoulders relaxed.

    Denim
    COLORS: Blue or Black denim jeans: Pants, Shorts, Skirts, Skorts, and Capris

    • All jeans must fit properly and not be slashed, torn, ripped, excessively baggy or too tight. Exposure of the body is strictly prohibited.

    Grace Period for New Students
    A one-week grace period will be given to new students entering Crestwood Middle after the first week of school.

    Spirit Days, Civic Observation Days, and Special School-wide Events
    School administration will provide notification of the student dress code on these special days.

    Footwear: All shoes must have a closed toe and closed heel. Crocs, Hydro-style Mocs and/or Flip-Flops are prohibited!
