Small Group Counseling

  • As school counselors, we gather data to determine small group needs as well as student interest. Based on our data, we implement small groups as a responsive service for our students. Small groups are available to all students, in all grade levels. Some of our small group topics from last year focused on self-esteem, etiquette, social skills, anxiety, grief and loss, leadership, and organization/study skills.

Small groups help students feel like they are not alone in what they are experiencing and create a sense of universalism. Students gain valuable strategies and resources in working through their struggles, while being able to "practice" the concepts being taught.

    Small Groups

    Academic Success
Students who may be struggling to meet their academic goals can learn about goal-setting, strengths and weaknesses, and make progress toward success!

    Emerging Gentlemen
During a weekly lunch meeting, the boys learned good etiquette/manners, how to tie a tie, how to make a good first impression, self-confidence in their whole self... all important factors to be leaders not only at OCMS, but in life!

    Grief Counseling
Osceola Creek has partnered with Trustbridge of West Palm Beach for several years to offer free, on-campus counseling to students that have lost a loved one.
