Graduation Requirements

Graduation Requirements (for students who entered the 9th grade in school years 2016 - 2019):
1) 24 Required Credits*:
• English 4 credits
• Mathematics 4 credits (Algebra 1, Geometry, & 2 Math Electives)
• Science 3 credits (Physical, Biology, & 1 Science Elective)
• Social Studies 3 credits (World History, US History, .5 US Govt., & .5 Economics)
• Fine Arts 1 credit
• Physical Ed. 1 credit (including .5 Personal Fitness)
• Electives 8 credits
*One course must be completed through online learning.
**Two years of a world language (2.0 credits total levels 1, 2) are not required for graduation, but are required for Bright futures scholarship, and entrance to a four year University. Questions? Please contact your School Counselor.
2) Grade Point Average:
• 2.0 cumulative GPA minimum.
3) Required State Assessments**:
• Proficient score on Grade 10 FSA-ELA.
• Proficient score on Algebra 1 EOC exam.
**EOC exams for Algebra 1, Geometry, Biology, and US History will constitute 30% of the courses’ final grades.
4) Community Service:
• 20 hours minimum.
