    Program Description

    The AICE Program at John I. Leonard High School offers a comprehensive educational journey that empowers students to excel academically and cultivate critical thinking skills essential for their future endeavors.     Understanding AICE Levels

    • Advanced Subsidiary (AS) Level: The AS Level covers the first year of college-level curriculum in a subject.
    • Advanced (A) Level: The A Level encompasses the second year of college-level curriculum in a subject.

    Earning the AICE Diploma

    • To achieve the AICE Diploma, students must fulfill the following requirements:
      Attain 7 credits within a 25-month period by successfully passing exams administered at the culmination of each course.
    • Complete at least one exam from each subject group.

    College Credits and Acknowledgment

    • AICE course credits are recognized by universities and carry the same weight as AP or Dual Enrollment credits.
    • Universities evaluate credit allocation based on individual exam performance, with many institutions accepting AICE credits for placement and credit.
    • Florida Bright Futures Scholarship

    Earning the AICE Diploma and accruing 100 service hours qualifies students for the Florida Academic Scholars tuition scholarship, irrespective of GPA or college entrance exam scores.
