Florida Statutes Sections 1011.71(9) and 1011.73(2) authorize the School Board to levy additional millage for school operational purposes for a period not in excess of four years.
In 2010, and again in 2014, the voters approved 0.25 mills ad valorem levies through FY 2019 for school operational purposes.
In 2018, the voters approved an increase to a 1.00 mills ad valorem levy through FY 2023.
This request is to continue to levy 1.00 mills and include the referendum on the ballot for the upcoming November 8, 2022 general election.
