Two Palm Beach County District High Schools Ranked Among Top 100 in the U.S.

Dreyfoos and SuncoastAccording to the annual rankings released by U.S. News & World Report, two high schools in the Palm Beach County School District are among the top 100 public high schools in the country. Alexander W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts is on the list in the 91st spot and Suncoast Community High School joins the top 100 at 98th place. The total list includes the top 17,000 high schools in the U.S.

The rankings are determined by analyzing six weighted categories: college readiness (30%), state assessment proficiency (20%), state assessment performance (20%), college curriculum breadth (10%), underserved student performance (10%) and graduation rate (10%).

In addition to Dreyfoos and Suncoast’s position in the top 100, the District was well-represented further down the list. Seven other District schools ranked in the top 2,000 schools nationwide, and an additional five were included in the top 5,000 schools.
