Purpose and Functions
IT Technical Operations is the department within the Information Technology Division that interacts closely with all schools and acts as a liaison for customer support within IT. This department includes multiple sections/functions including the IT Service Desk, Audio Visual Support, Computer Field Support, Records Management, Forms Management, and Document Management systems.
- The IT Service Desk is responsible for working with school staff by acting as an escalation point for technical issues, such as the creation and staffing of the IT phone bridge for student testing.
- Computer and Audio Visual Field Support is responsible for working with school staff on immediate technical issues that require additional onsite support of schools, such as computer replacements and repairs.
- Records Management is responsible for the state-mandated retention and management of student records including school-based staff training.
- Forms Management is responsible for the eForms software platform, all District PBSD forms, and the Forms Review Committee.
