Purpose and Functions
IT Technical Operations is the department within the Information Technology Division that interacts closely with all schools and acts as a liaison for customer support within IT. This department has multiple areas including Data Center, LANdesk, Apple Management, IT Service Desk, Audio Visual Support, and Computer Field Support.
- The IT Service Desk is responsible for working with school staff by acting as an escalation point for technical issues, such as the creation and staffing of the IT phone bridge for Testing.
- Computer and Audio Visual Field Support is responsible for working with school staff on immediate technical issues that require additional onsite support of schools, such as computer replacements and repairs.
- The Data Center is responsible for working with school staff for printing, such as report cards and schedules.
- Endpoint Administration is responsible for creating all required software packages for school staff to deploy anti-virus on computers, active directory computer authentication and computer deployments, such as the teacher computer refresh and Chromebook (Trailblazer) deployments.
