Age Waiver Process

  • Students who reside in or attend school in Palm Beach County are eligible to apply for an age waiver in Palm Beach County. They do not need to be registered in an Adult Education class.

    The following steps must be completed before the Florida GED® Testing Program Eligibility Exception Form can be filled out.

    1. Create an account at GED.com

    2. Complete the Age Waiver Package
    a. GED® Age Waiver Application (PBSD 0944) completely filled out, signed by and student, and notarized
    b. Official withdrawal from the last school attended.
    c. Copy of the GED Ready ™ The Official Practice Test scores. Scores for each sub-test must be a minimum of 150.
    d. Florida Testing Eligibility Exception Form (with the top half filled out)
    e. Documentation corresponding to the reason for testing

    3. Please email completed documents to Sharon Webb Or call (561) 351-9464 for further assistance. 

    4. Once documents are approved, individuals can proceed to GED.com to begin scheduling appointments at one of our locations.

     

    In the case your age waiver is denied, please contact the GED Testing Coordinator Sharon Webb to discuss an appeal.

    Accommodations

    What are GED® Test Accommodations?

    The purpose of accommodations is to provide candidates with full access to the GED® Test. Test accommodations are individualized and considered on a case-by-case basis.

    How do I request accommodations?

    Create a GED.com account. Answer Yes to the question "Do you need to request accommodated testing conditions for a documented disability?" You will receive a link where you will apply for accommodations and submit your supporting documentation.
