The Advanced International Certificate of Education (AICE) program, offered by Cambridge International Examinations (CIE), provides several benefits. Comparable to Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) programs, AICE not only helps students gain university admission but also equips them with up to 45 college credit hours. This advanced coursework prepares students for success in higher education and beyond.

One major advantage of the AICE program is the opportunity to earn the AICE Diploma, which is recognized by numerous universities across the United States. In Florida, students who earn the AICE Diploma and complete the required community service hours are eligible for the Florida Academic Scholars award through the Bright Futures Scholarship.

The AICE program is part of Cambridge’s global education network, which is the world’s largest provider of K-12 international education. With programs in over 9,000 schools across 160 countries, Cambridge is renowned for its rigorous academic standards and high expectations. The courses and exams offered are equivalent to first-year university level, allowing students to earn college credit and demonstrating their readiness for higher education.

To achieve an AICE Diploma, students must pass exams totaling seven credits. This includes at least one exam from each of the three subject groups: Mathematics and Sciences, Languages, and Arts & Humanities, as well as one credit from the AS Global Perspectives course.

    • Advanced Subsidiary (AS) Level courses in one year earn one credit
    • Advanced (A) Level courses in one year earn one credit
    • Advanced Subsidiary (AS) & Advanced (A) levels combined in one year earn two credits

Cambridge Assessment International Education, part of the University of Cambridge, focuses on developing students’ critical thinking and writing skills through advanced, college-level courses. The program is celebrated for its open-ended, application-based assessments that prepare students for a wide range of future educational and career opportunities. With nearly one million students enrolled worldwide, the AICE program continues to be a leader in international education, offering students a rigorous and rewarding academic experience.
