Here Comes the Bus - Students getting off bus

The Transportation Department is pleased to announce that Here Comes the Bus (HCTB) is now available at all District schools. HCTB is an easy-to-use website and application that allows parents/guardians to receive notifications on a smartphone, tablet, or personal computer of when their student’s bus is arriving.

Registration for HCTB requires some key steps, as outlined below:

  • Before attempting to sign up for HCTB, all non-ESE student bus riders must be registered to ride the bus. Parents/guardians will need to complete Register Your Ride.

    • Register Your Ride requires the same username and password used to log in to the Student Portal.

    • ESE Students use the 1848 process to request transportation and do not need to use Register Your Ride.

  • The secure Student SIS PIN is required to add a student to HCTB. The PIN is accessible through the SIS Parent Gateway. Parents/guardians who do not have access to the SIS Gateway will need to request the SIS Parent Gateway Letter from their child’s school, which contains the Student PIN. Please see your school SIS Gateway Manager if you have specific questions about this process.

  • Parents/guardians will be directed to the HCTB website to enroll in the application. Read the step-by-step instructions for downloading the mobile application and registering for HCTB. Visit the Transportation website for additional details and information about HCTB.

The District is excited about the ability of Here Comes the Bus to provide more timely bus scheduling information and improve the overall transportation experience for parents, guardians, and students.
