Choice & Career Academies (In-House Only)
Dr. Joaquín García High School offers three Career Academies that all zoned students can participate in. Some academies require specific eligibility requirements.

Performing & Visual Arts Programs
Our Visual and Performing Arts programs are taught by highly qualified teachers whose personal passion is reflected in their art of teaching. We pride ourselves in having an exclusive team of teachers who are professional and practicing artists, musicians, singers and actors. Below are the Visual & Performing Arts Programs being offered for SY23-24.
Accelerated Coursework
Students will have the opportunity to enroll in collegiate level classes while at Dr. Garcia High School through the AICE and AP programs. At the end of each course students will sit for an exam; passing the exam could result in students earning college credit. Students who earn the AICE Diploma have the opportunity to earn the Bright Futures Scholarship that can be applied to the State University System of Florida.
How can I be placed in one of your academies or programs for SY23-24?
Please fill out the Dr. Joaquín García High School Program/Performing Arts Interest Form Students who are zoned and planning on attending Dr. Garcia High school for SY23-24 will be able to participate. You can also select a program by checking it off on your course selection sheet.
