Temporary and Other Positions

  • There are additional positions within the School District of Palm Beach County. Most of these positions are paid an hourly rate. Temporary positions are non-permanent positions with varying work schedules

    Substitutes

    Substitute Teachers receive an hourly rate based on the following:

    • Retired* Teachers (from any State) - $17.41 per hour
    • BA/BS Degree or Higher - $16.89 per hour
    • AA/AS Degree or 60+ Semester Hours - $15.61 per hour
    • 30-59 Semester Hours - $15.30 per hour
    • 1-29 Semester Hours - $15.15 per hour
    • High School diploma or equivalent - $15.00 per hour

    *Proof of teacher retirement required for other than the School District of Palm Beach County retirement.
